What are you doing to create a more sustainable future?
The Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre (BALC) have taken a big step toward cleaner energy, with 368 solar panels being installed on the 50‑metre pool roof this month.
What impact has your initiative had so far?
The Sustainable Environment team was instrumental in helping deliver this upgrade, which will generate around 260 MWh of renewable energy each year, meeting up to 18% of BALC’s annual electricity needs. This investment strengthens BALC’s sustainability, reduces operating costs, and supports Council’s broader climate goals.
