What are you doing to create a more sustainable future?
After 45 years in our brick veneer home with minimal ceiling insulation and thin glass windows with aluminium frames, it was time for a complete retrofit of these crucial components.
Attending the Buninyong Smart Living Expo gave us the opportunity to check out the best options for replacing every window with double glazed glass. The team from Thermosmart did a brilliant job and in just 4 days removed all 14 windows & glass sliding door, fitted new ones, sealed the frames & added new reveals.
What impact has your initiative had so far?
Our new doubled glazed windows together with new ceiling insulation bringing it to an R7 rating has meant almost no use of our air conditioning this Summer and a much quieter living environment as we are insulated against external noise. Less heating and cooling means less energy costs and more comfortable, healthy living.
